NEOM, the ambitious city project in Saudi Arabia, has revealed its latest tourism destination, Syranna, a luxury escape on the Gulf of Aqaba.
Syranna, which means “the pearl of the sea” in Arabic, is designed by Australian architecture studio Woods Bagot, and features a hexagonal structure that blends into the coastal terrain.
Siranna is located on a bay that is only accessible from the sea, offering guests an exclusive and private experience.
The destination contains a 65-room hotel and 35 residences, as well as restaurants, beach clubs, spas and wellness facilities.
The architecture pays homage to the local heritage and the natural landscape, with a basalt-like form that complements the surrounding mountains and wadi.
Siranna is the seventh region to be announced as part of the NEOM project, which aims to create a sustainable and innovative city in the northwest of Saudi Arabia.
NEOM has previously unveiled other tourism destinations, Jak na przykład Epikon, a coastal resort with jagged skyscrapers, Leyja, a trio of boutique hotels, i Sindalah, an island resort.

What are the other regions of NEOM?
NEOM consists of 10 regiony, each with a unique theme and purpose. So far, seven regions have been announced, including Siranna.
The other six regions announced thus far are:

Trojena will also have a cultural village, a wellness resort, a sports academy and a wildlife sanctuary.
Trojena was announced in March 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2026.

Sindalah will have a marina, a yacht club, kurs golfa, a water park, a theme park, a casino, a shopping mall and a cinema.
Sindalah will also have a world-class hotel, SPA, a conference center and a residential complex.
Sindalah was announced in July 2019 and is expected to be completed by 2024.
Epikon: a coastal resort that will redefine hospitality and architecture standards along the Gulf of Aqaba.
Epicon will have a pair of jagged skyscrapers that will house a hotel, a museum, a gallery and a library.
Epicon will also have a beach club, a diving center, a coral reef, a lagoon and a botanical garden.
Epicon was announced in October 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2025.
Leyja: a trio of boutique hotels that will offer a unique and authentic experience of the local culture and heritage.
Leyja will have a desert hotel, a mountain hotel and a coastal hotel, each with a different design and theme.
Leyja will also have a museum, a souk, a mosque and a school.
Leyja was announced in October 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2025.
