El Cosmico: The World’s First 3D Printed Hotel in the Middle of the Texas Desert

El Cosmico, a nomadic hotel and campground in Texas, is set to become the first 3D printed hotel in the world. With a contract with NASA, architecture company ICON will collaborate with BIG to design around 100 structures that blend into the desert landscape. The use of 3D printing technology will bring sustainability, speed, and efficiency to the construction process. Bookings for the new structures will open this summer.
