La Guajira is Colombia’s biggest desert, located in the National Park of Macuira, the northernmost site of Colombia and South America and it features breathtaking landscapes surrounded by golden sand beaches facing the Caribbean Sea.
The Dunas de Taroa in Punta Gallinas are the best sites in La Guajira to practice sandboarding. When you descend from the sand mountain, you’ll notice how it blends into the beach, its shore and ultimately into the water.
