Following the successful inaugural championship in 2024, this event continues to build on the legacy of the former SandSpirit competition, which has long served as a gathering point for sandboarding enthusiasts from around the world.
Event Highlights
The European Sandboard Championship aims to unite sandboarding fans and athletes, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills on Europe’s largest sand dune.
Participants will compete in various categories, including slalom, freestyle, and sandboard cross, allowing both seasoned competitors and newcomers to engage in friendly competition.
Organized by InterSands, the championship not only celebrates athletic prowess but also plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing future talents in the sport.

Men’s Champions
- Sandboardcross: Vitor Semedo (Cape Verde)
- Freestyle: Daniel Vonach (Austria)
- Slalom: Luka Flaschenecker (Germany)
Ladies’ Champions
- Sandboardcross & Slalom: Katja Seeger (Germany)
These athletes have demonstrated exceptional skill and performance in their respective categories, solidifying their status as champions in the world of sandboarding.
Registration and Event Info
Registration for SandSpirit 2025 is officially open through this link. Interested participants will be notified directly via newsletter as soon as the registration process is completed.
The cost for registering as a participant is 70€ for adults and 60€ for youngsters aged 12-16 years old.
