The world of sandboarding is set to experience a significant milestone as the 18th SandSpirit event will be held for the first time as the European Sandboard Championship in 2024.
The SandSpirit competition is a yearly gathering that brings together sandboarding enthusiasts from around the world. Held at Monte Kaolino in Hirschau, Germany, this event provides a platform for sandboarding fans to showcase their skills and determine the best among them.
In 2024, this annual event is set to reach a significant milestone as it transforms into the very first European Sandboard Championship.
The European Sandboard Championship will take place from July 11-14.
This exciting event, organized by InterSands, aims to bring together the global sandboarding community in Europe.
The championship not only celebrates the skill of participants on the dunes but also plays a crucial role in identifying future talents.
Among the participants, a special mention goes to Jhonny Ecos from Peru. Jhonny is a young, up-and-coming sandboarding talent who has already celebrated several sporting successes in the sand.

The last significant event in the sand surfing community was the Sandboarding World Cup, which took place in 2019 and was also led by InterSands.
In the past couple of years, largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, major sandboarding events were put on hold. Now, as conditions improve, the European Sandboard Championship 2024 is set to mark the return of major sandboarding competitions.
